Sr. Maria Catherine Rethwisch, OP

Sr. Maria Catherine serves at St. Jude Catholic School in Joliet, IL in the Christian formation of 6th to 8th grade students, as a teacher of religion, social studies, and Latin. Before that, she served at Overbrook School in Nashville, TN, teaching 4th grade students. Sr. Maria Catherine was a mentor at the 2019 GIVEN Forum.

How would you describe your experience of the 2019 GIVEN Forum?

Attending the GIVEN Forum was a great gift from the Lord! I was strengthened in my identity as a daughter of God and my vocation as a Bride of Christ and spiritual mother in the Church as a religious. I was encouraged by the beauty of the open hearts of the young women so ready to say yes to the Lord, by the time spent with fellow religious of other communities, by time in prayer, by the speakers and their talks. Overall it was an experience of grace and beauty in the Church!
