Laura Prejean
Laura Prejean is a doctoral candidate in the School of Canon Law at the Catholic University of America. After studying theology and political philosophy at the University of Dallas, canon law was the perfect blend of each discipline. In particular, Laura is drawn to the harmony of theory and praxis found in canon law and loves its inherent orientation to the mission of the Church: the salvation of souls. She currently works part-time at the Archdiocese for the Military Services, USA in the Office of the Vicar General and is writing her dissertation on the procedural principles that govern the application of penalties in the Church. Though she has lived in Washington DC since starting her licentiate in 2017, Laura is originally from Louisiana and has maintained her love of all things Cajun. She is also an alumna of the 2016 GIVEN Forum.
