Katie was born in San Diego, California to an active Catholic family of five. Most weekends were spent traveling to sports tournaments, hiking, surfing, or playing beach volleyball together, but Sunday Mass and time for prayer were always the family’s top priority. “Jesus first” continues to be the cornerstone of her life.

In May 2024, Katie graduated top of the class from Franciscan University of Steubenville with a degree in Multimedia Communications and minors in Spanish and Marketing. She is currently pursuing a master’s degree in Theology & Christian Ministry at Franciscan University.

Katie is passionate about sharing her artistic heart through music, writing, and graphic design. It’s her goal to share truth, beauty, and rest for the soul in a noisy world. As Marketing Coordinator, Katie loves using her creative gifts in furthering the mission of GIVEN.

From an early age, Katie loved Jesus. Her kindergarten graduation certificate read, “Katie-Marie wants to be a saint when she grows up” – and she meant it with her whole heart. Growing up, Katie sought connection with peers who shared in her desire to grow in holiness. Within community and relationship, she has experienced God’s love for her most profoundly.

This is why Katie is passionate about GIVEN. It is the place that brings together Catholic women to help each other – through mentoring and companionship – realize their belovedness and share their gifts with the Church & world.
