Katie was born and raised in San Diego, California, in a Catholic family who loved hiking, surfing, and playing beach volleyball and soccer together. She is currently pursuing a degree in Multimedia Communications with minors in Spanish and Marketing at Franciscan University of Steubenville. She will graduate in May 2024.

Katie loves sharing her artistic heart through her music, writing, and graphic design. It’s her goal to share words and art that speak truth, beauty, and rest for the soul in a noisy world. As Marketing Coordinator, Katie is excited to use her gifts in furthering the mission of GIVEN.

From an early age, Katie had a love for Jesus. Her Kindergarten “graduation” certificate read, Katie-Marie wants to be a saint when she grows up–and she meant it with her whole heart. Growing up, Katie was immersed in Catholic activities (bible studies, youth group, music ministry, volunteering at retreats and summer camps), but she struggled to find peers she could connect with and share in her desire to grow in holiness.

It took many years of intentionally searching and stepping out of her comfort zone to find that deep connection. In this journey, Katie has found that the most healing in her life has come through being received in a community of loving women. This is why she is passionate about GIVEN–it is the place that brings together Catholic women from different stages of life to help each other, through mentoring and companionship, realize their giftedness and share it with the world.
