Elizabeth Kirk

Elizabeth Kirk, J.D., is a scholar, writer and speaker on matters pertaining to the family in law, policy and the Catholic moral and intellectual tradition. She has a special interest in adoption law and policy and provides strategic guidance, such as legislative analysis, on related matters to policy leaders and legislators. Elizabeth currently serves as director of the Institute for Faith and Culture at the University of Kansas’ St. Lawrence Catholic Campus Center while also serving as its Kowalski Chair of Catholic Thought.  Prior to this, she served as the associate director of the University of Notre Dame Center for Ethics & Culture and as a resident fellow in cultural and legal studies at the Stein Center for Social Research at Ave Maria University. Elizabeth is also an associate scholar with the Charlotte Lozier Institute, a member of the advisory council of the Catholic Women’s Forum at the Ethics and Public Policy Center, a consultant to the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops Committee on Pro-Life Activities, and a board member of the Catholic Bar Association.
