From Washington, DC, Emilia joins GIVEN as the Director of Events and Marketing after attending GIVEN’s 2024 Leadership Forum and participating in the signature mentoring program. Her action plan led to the launch of a bilingual podcast hosted by a mother of 9 children called Let Me Tell You How It Happened/Déjame Contarte Cómo Fue administered by Families to Families.

With a background in strategic communications, partnership development, and event production, Emilia has led external affairs and program expansion for multiple organizations, including the President’s Committee on the Arts and the Humanities, the Fender Play Foundation, Turnaround Arts at the John F. Kennedy Center for the Performing Arts, and the Center for Democracy in the Americas (CEDA).

Emilia currently serves on the Board of Directors for CEDA and Theological Horizons, as well as the Saint Rita Parish Council. She has a B.A. in Political and Social Thought from the University of Virginia.
