Dr. Carleara Weiss

Dr. Carleara Weiss, Ph.D., MS, RN, is a clinician-scientist at the University at Buffalo Department of Geriatrics and Palliative Medicine. She is originally from Brazil, and has earned a PhD and a NIH-Sponsored Postdoctoral Fellowship at University at Buffalo, School of Nursing and Jacobs School of Medicine and Biomedical Sciences, respectively. Her research focuses on Geriatrics, Behavioral Sleep Medicine, and Circadian Rhythms. Dr. Weiss has been interviewed by Buzzfeed, Well +Good, Women’s Health Magazine, and The Catholic Millennial. She is TEDx Sao Paulo Health Talk Speaker and has been featured on multiple podcasts such as The Catholic Feminist and Connecting Out Loud, and YouTube channels talking about the importance of sleep for health and wellness.
