Dorrie Donahue
Dorrie Donahue is a consecrated woman in the Community of Totus Tuus. Dorrie grew up in Pittsburgh, PA and is the oldest of 8 children. She is used to her big catholic family and lots of cousins. One of her highlights growing up was the family reunion called Fun on the Farm. It is a full weekend of cousins, competitions and good family chats. Dorrie graduated from the University of Virginia with a degree in Nursing. She worked as a nurse for a couple of years on the GYN oncology floor before an encounter with St. Pope John Paul Il changed the course of her life. Meeting the Pope opened Dorrie’s heart to feel the call of Christ to be all His in consecrated life. She has dedicated the last 25 years of her consecrated life to high school girls. Today, she is the director of Mission Integration at Oakland Catholic High School. Dorrie runs the school’s mission trips, retreats and teaches religion too. She also meets in groups with the students for spiritual enrichment and one on one spiritual mentorship. Dorrie also supports young adult women with spiritual direction. She lives in community in Pittsburgh with other Totus Tuus members and still enjoys time with her family.
