Gretchen Crowe

Gretchen R. Crowe is editor-in-chief at Our Sunday Visitor, where she oversees the content and direction of OSV’s five periodicals: OSV Newsweekly, The Priest, Deacon Digest, Radiant and Valiant. She also oversees content and direction of the online faith resource SimplyCatholic.com. An award-winning writer and photographer, Crowe joined Our Sunday Visitor in March 2013 as OSV Newsweekly editor. Prior to becoming a Hoosier, she spent nine years working on the editorial team of the Arlington Catholic Herald in the Diocese of Arlington, Virginia. Crowe has been a member of the Catholic Press Association since 2005. She covered both the 2015 pastoral visit of Pope Francis and the 2008 pastoral visit of Pope Benedict to the United States. She attended inaugural session of The Church Up Close, hosted by the Pontifical University of the Holy Cross in Rome, in 2008. She is the author of “Why the Rosary, Why Now?” (OSV, 2017) and “Praying the Rosary with St. John Paul II” (OSV, 2019).
